Where impact begins
What does environmental and social impact look like before it becomes a number?
Over the coming months, Field Notes will follow work across participating farms in Northern Ghana — from trees, crops and hedgerows to composting, beekeeping and biochar — examining the evidence behind each intervention and the changes they are intended to create.
Each edition will take one element and ask a simple question: what difference can this make?
How much carbon can different tree species store? Which plants provide the greatest value for biodiversity? How do pollinators contribute to farm productivity? And where do environmental improvements translate into livelihood benefits?
As the work develops, Field Notes will return to these questions with evidence from the farm itself.
A record not only of what is being done, but what changes as a result.
Climate action, from the ground up.
